An Enemy Hath Done This (Ezra Taft Benson)

An Enemy Hath Done This by Ezra Taft BensonAuthor: Ezra Taft Benson

No people can maintain freedom unless their political institutions are founded upon faith in God and belief in the existence of moral law. God has endowed men with certain unalienable rights and no legislature and no majority, however great, may morally limit or destroy these. The function of government is to protect life, liberty and property and anything more or less than this is usurpation and oppression.

The Constitution of the United States was prepared and adopted by courageous men acting under inspiration from the Almighty. It is a solemn contract between the peoples of the states of this nation which all officers of government are under duty to obey. The eternal moral laws expressed therein must be adhered to or individual liberty will perish. It is the responsibility of government to punish crime and provide for the administration of justice and to protect the right and control of property. But today these basic principles and concepts are being flaunted, disregarded and challenged, even by men in high places. Through the exercise of political expediency the government is condoning the breakdown of law and order. (Ezra Taft Benson, An Enemy Hath Done This, pages 4-5)370pp. 978-0-9843972-3-5

Having come up on these words of President Benson’s, it is very frustrating to see high profile Mormons like Harry Reid and Mitt Romney embracing Progressive ideals as if the covenants they make in holy places have no impact on what they do in their political lives.

Personally, I do not believe one can be a Progressive and be credited with keeping those covenants and I do not know why the Church is silent on the issue these days when they were so clearly not silent in the 60s. I am not saying there is not a reason; I am saying I don’t understand the great silence on what is happening right now. Hopefully, it will become clear because I AM paying attention.

the reason they are silent is because of how wicked the members of the church are. They have been told and almost all of them did not listen. 2n nephi chapter 28 vs 30.
30 For behold, thus saith the Lord God: I will give unto the children of men line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little; and blessed are those who hearken unto my precepts, and lend an ear unto my counsel, for they shall learn wisdom; for unto him that receiveth I will give more; and from them that shall say, We have enough, from them shall be taken away even that which they have.

I recently finished reading this book and I was absolutely shocked. He knew what was coming and we just never listened. And now, all that he feared is coming to pass. I’ve been trying to tell people about this book, but many just don’t seem to want to hear. I have never feared so much for my country. If we don’t awake to our awful situation soon, we will lose our country. I don’t understand why the Prophet is not sounding the warning.
READ THIS BOOK AND WAKE UP!

It should be burned into the hearts, minds and souls of all saints of this latter day and every patriot who understands the principle of this nation and its foundation in free agency.

We were warned in the 60’s +. What did we do about it? Is it too late now to go back then and try to correct it now? It may be.
