Colorado Shooting and the 2nd Amendment

It seems that shooting rampages are becoming all too common these days. Fortunately in some of these situations many lives were saved because of brave gun carriers. In a recent Colorado shooting at the New Life Church, a security guard Jeanne Assam was able to kill the shooter, preventing further loss of life.

Events such as this make me thankful that the Founding Fathers included an amendment in the US Constitution to preserve our god-given right to defend ourselves with guns and other weapons.

In the words of W. Cleon Skousen: “The Founders left gun control under the exclusive jurisdiction of the State. They felt it was extremely dangerous to allow the Federal Government to “infringe” on the right to bear arms even in the slightest degree.”

I won’t be surprised to see how many of the recent shootings are linked to antidepressant use.
